While reviewing my FB page, I came across one of my blog post from 3 years ago and it inspired me all over again. It seems more relevant even now. Hope that it inspires you as well.
I was reading a blog post that featured an interview about a blogger. One of the questions asked of the blogger was, “If Jesus walked into your room right now, what would He say to you?
Her answer went something like this, Why do you worry all this time? You know I have it worked out. Not a direct quote, but you get the message.
This got me to thinking. If Jesus walked into my room right now, what would He say to me? He would probably say something like,
Carla, why do you procrastinate when I have already prepared the way for you?
Or maybe this,
Why do you continue to seek clarity when you know that you have sought God for direction for your life?
What a wake up call. I need to learn to trust my heart. I am not one to take uncalculated risk. I research, I plan,I find mentors who have done the things I desire to do, and I read just about any and every thing I can in attempts to understand the risks involved, as well as every possible positive and negative outcome to every decision. Sometimes I seek the advice of my closest confidants.
Most importantly I pray and I study God’s word to see what He has to say about it. I also listen to the Spirit from the God-space withing me for clarity, direction, and peace regarding my choices.
I believe that Jesus would say,
Sis, trust your heart. God knows the plans and purpose He has for your life and you have done everything you can to get close to Him so you can discover His plans for you. Now get moving in the direction of your dreams. Make a commitment, and take action now. You only have a limited time to live out your dreams. What are you waiting for?
What about you? “If Jesus walked into your room right now, what would He say to you?”
Give it some thought. If you like, please share you comments here. I would live to hear what you have to say.
Mindful Living Tip: Think of an issue, a desire, a hurt, or situation you are dealing with in your life. Now ask yourself, ” If Jesus was here right now what would he say? Whatever answer comes to you, sit and ponder it a while, pray about it.
