In life we oftentimes find ourselves journeying through life on autopilot. Many of us find ourselves moving to the fast pace of life. We attempt to keep up with all of our responsibilities, trying to obtain all of our needs, wants and desires. We doing all we can to keep up with the demands of those who depend on us; whether it’s our family, employers, clients, or those in our community.
Mindful living is about choosing to take our lives off of auto-pilot and making a choice to take back control of our everyday life by becoming consciously aware of what’s happening within us, around us, and to us. It’s about recognizing what we are feeling and sensing as we journey through life.
Choosing to live more mindful is about giving up your anxieties and worries about what may happen in the future, and not focusing so much on our past, things you can’t go back and change, and focusing more on the present moment.
Living mindful is also about choosing to not judge the thoughts, feeling, sensations, and emotions you experience, but just sit with them, without judgement.
Mindful living for the Christian Woman, however is taking it a step further. Not only is it choosing to take your life off autopilot, becoming more consciously aware of what’s hapening within and without our lives, but Christ-Centered mindfulnes is about taking time out from the chaos of life, surrender the need to be and do all. It’s about choosing to let go of our anxieties about the future, failures of the past, and tapping into the wisdom of God. Then, allowing His wisdom and truths to guide us to a place of peace, joy, and fulfillment in every area of your life.
Mindful living is about more than just quieting your mind, it’s about stillness (ceasing and surrendering), it’s about tapping into your God-space and allowing God to speak to your heart. Christ-Centered mindfulness is about choosing to grow and develop in your relationship with God. Minfulness is about quieting your mind, contemplative prayer, scripture reading, and choosing God’s way of doing things. Christ-Centered mindfulness is listening to and being guided by the Holy Spirit that resides in the God-space within each of us. In choosing Christ-Centered mindfulness, you will be empowered to realign your life with the life God has purposed for you.
